so ~ thatは「非常に~なので、~だ。」という順接の構文になる。

that節がcan’tなど否定文の場合、too ~ to 不定詞の構文に書き換えられる。

That PC is so expensive that I can’t buy it.
That PC is too expensive for me to buy.
そのパソコンは高すぎて買えない。
注意すべきはthat節では目的語it(=that PC)が必要だが、too ~ to不定詞の場合は省略されること。
